School Supply Donations for Children in Need

Details: Table of Grace Mobile Food Pantry is collecting back-to-school supplies for the 2014/2015 school year.  We are “rounding up” school supplies to distribute to area students in need. If you would like to donate any or all of these supplies you can purchase them and drop them off at:

Spanish Club Fundraiser Car Wash

Details: The Spanish Club travels to Spain every two years so that students may have an opportunity to enjoy Spanish culture and practice the language.  Currently there are approximately 26 students planning to visit Spain. It costs $4,180 for each student; the total fundraising goal for the Spanish Club is about $108,680. The per person cost includes two round-trip international air tickets and travel days, ten fun-filled days with activities like museums, nine nights lodging, and daily breakfast/dinner. The adventure will include a primary visit to Barcelona, Spain as well as a short stint in Italy, Rome and Greece. The carwash will run from 11:00 a.m. to  5:00  p.m.  Donations will be accepted. We will also have give-aways & raffles.

Historic Saddle Club Open Horse Show

Where: Historic Saddle Club - 2016 West Overland - Scottsbluff
Details: An Open Horse Show will be held on Sunday, July 27th at the Historic Saddle Club located at 2016 West Overland in Scottsbluff.    Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and Halter Classes begin at 9:00 a.m.  All halter classes must be registered by 8:30 a.m., no exceptions. There will be junior (10 years and under), intermediate (11-13), senior (14-18) and adult (19 and over) age divisions in flat classes only.  Entry fee is $5.00 per class plus a onetime office charge of $5.00 per horse.  Coggins and Health Certificate must be presented for all out of state horses attending the show and it is strongly recommended Nebraska horses have proof of current vaccinations.

The current National Jaycee President, Crystal Ramsey will be stopping in Sidney on Tuesday, July 29th around 11:00 am. There will be a meet and greet down at the Book and Coffee Corner to talk about the Jaycee organization, what the future holds, have lunch, and just to make some great connections! Please feel free to join your fellow Jaycee members to welcome the Jaycee National President to Sidney!  Cost for the lunch is $5.00.

"Zumba for the Red"

Dash for the Splash Triathlon

Details: Sidney Regional will be hosting a Super Sprint Triathlon Saturday August 2nd.  Super Sprint Triathlon is a 250 meter swim, an 8 mile bike ride, and a 2 mile run. All proceeds will go toward Sidney Swimming Pool Project and Deadwood Trail Expansion Project. The race time is 7:30 a.m. Individual and Team Registration for Ages 14 & Up. Potter Duckpin Bowling Alley

Details: You can rent the alley at $50 for a 4 hour period.  Morning, afternoon, or evening timeslots.  There is even black light bowling available.
      "Duckpin bowling was invented in 1900 in Baltimore, MD. The name comes from the resemblance of the wildly-flying little pins to a flock of flying ducks”
      This is a project that has been going on for many years and has come together through the help of many volunteers, and organizations both civil and school . All the funds raised from renting the space are used in the restoration and maintenance of the bowling alley, bathrooms, and adjoining party room. It is owned by the Potter Historical Foundation.
