SIDNEY, Neb. CARF International announced that Panhandle Health Group has been accredited for a period of three years for outpatient and case management programs such as mental health and drug addicitons for adults and children.
The latest accreditation is the 7th consecutive Three-Year Accreditation that the international accrediting body, CARF, has given to the Panhandle Health Group. This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be given to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards.
Panhandle Health Group (PHG) is the primary original community mental health center in western Nebraska with offices in Alliance, Scottsbluff, Kimball and Sidney. It has been providing outpatient mental health, outpatient substance use treatment and medication management services since 1969. PHG is the oldest community mental health center in the state of Nebraska. Last year PHG treated 1,415 clients through their outpatient services and is the largest provider of outpatient behavioral health services in western Nebraska.
CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services that center on enhancing the lives of the persons served.
