National Veterans Awareness Organization scheduled stop in Sidney

SIDNEY, Neb. - Every year the National Veterans Awareness Organization (NVAO) goes on a ten day motorcycle journey across the United States.

Their website, http://www.nvar.us/ explained that each day of travel involves stops at places such as veteran hospitals and veteran homes where they visit, spend time, and thank veterans for their service. The NVAO also stops at memorials or cemeteries for a time of remembrance and they visit schools to teach the price of freedom.

The riders departed from Auburn, California on Tuesday. They are scheduled to stop in Sidney on Saturday, May 20 and can be seen near Loves taking a short break before continuing on to their destination of Washington, D.C.

The NVAO began in 2005 as a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring all veterans.
