Dairy Queen of Sidney raises over $2,000 on Miracle Treat Day

SIDNEY, Neb. - On Thursday, July 27, Dairy Queen locations around the United States celebrated Miracle Treat Day, where a dollar or more from each Blizzard sold is donated to local Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.

This year marked the second consecutive year that the Sidney Dairy Queen participated in Miracle Treat Day since a change in management. Owner Brooke Collignon coordinated the event, along with store manager Molly Packer, and the entire DQ staff chipped in as well. The event featured a bouncy house, bungee racing, character meet-and-greet, live music, a Miracle Walk/Run, and a dunk tank sponsored by the Sidney High cheer team.

At the end of the day, the Sidney location sold 1,780 blizzards, well over the 2016 total, and raised over $2,000 which will be donated to the Children’s Hospital in Denver. Collignon thanks the local businesses that donated to the cause, as well as everyone who came out to celebrate and made this the best Miracle Treat Day yet!

For more than 10 years, the DQ system has celebrated Miracle Treat Day, and over $2 million has been donated to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across the United States and Canada.
