Arrest made after Sidney teen attacked and robbed in his residence during the night

SIDNEY, Neb. - A Sidney teen was assaulted with a crowbar and robbed at his residence early Thursday morning. The Sidney Police Department responded to a house on Spruce Street, and upon arrival, authorities located an injured 19-year old male. The officer on scene said the victim’s face was covered in blood, and the victim’s belongings scattered. There was an open window with the screen cut open in the bathroom that the victim said two males with masks entered through.

The victim said he went to bed at 11pm Wednesday and was woken up by getting hit in the back and head with a crowbar, punched in the face, and choked by a man with a ski mask. The teen was able to remove the mask and recognized the attacker as Jackson Feddersen. The victim was unable to recognize the other male that entered the home although he was described as having, “dark hair and a deep voice.” The victim advised authorities that an envelope containing $3,000 was missing from his dresser. According to the arrest affidavit, police were dispatched to the residence at 1:45am Thursday. The victim was transported to the Regional West Medical Center.

Before the incident, a female who was with the victim took pictures of the cash that was later stolen and posted it on the social media application Snapchat. The app indicated that Feddersen took a screenshot of the picture. Feddersen asked the female that posted the picture who the money belonged to and she told him.

An individual told authorities he was with Feddersen at about 12am Thursday. He asked Feddersen why he was wearing all gray clothes at which Feddersen responded, “I only wore it because I was planning on hitting a lick tonight.” When asked who, Feddersen advised him to see the snapchat story.

Officers were able to locate 18-year old Jackson Feddersen at his residence in Sidney. Feddersen denied committing the crime.

Feddersen was arrested based on the ID of the victim and was charged with seven felony charges including: Robbery, First Degree Assault, Use of a Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony, False Imprisonment, Burglary, Strangulation and Terroristic Threats.
