Lukjan lot subdivision approved, marketed to prospective company

SIDNEY, Neb. - Lukjan Metal was approved by the Sidney Council Tuesday to subdivide their property into two pieces as the company has concluded their facility is larger than needed. Lukjan plans to market the area they don’t need to another business.

The broker representing Lukjan, Robert Stefka who is working to market the building on Greenwood Road says the facility has a natural breakpoint where it was constructed in two separate parts. A separate legal description is needed to be created in order to market half of it to a potential company. Stefka says they are working towards a potential buyer to bring into Sidney, but the building had to first be subdivided.

The company that is interested is Agri-Plastics that offers poly farm products and is based in Ontario.

The matter was also approved by the Planning Commission as it met all of the ordinance requirements such as setbacks and parking.
