Two men arrested after armed Chappell burglary

CHAPPELL, Neb. - Two men were arrested for their involvement in an armed Deuel County burglary that occurred November 2. Holdon Colomban and Daniel Virgil both age 18 were arrested for breaking into a Chappell Shell gas station and stealing $30 in cash, $20 in quarters and three carton of cigarettes.

Deuel County deputies received information about the burglary and were able to acquire the address of the two involved. Authorities searched the residence and found the stolen items. The two admitted to using a hammer to break the lock, and used a radio to communicate with a look out. The damage to the door is estimated at under $500. Virgil and Colomban also admitted to having a firearm during the burglary.

Court documents say that Virgil is a Sidney resident and Colomban is a resident of Arizona.

Both were charged with felony Burglary, Aiding and Abetting, Possession of a Deadly Weapon While Committing a Felony, Possession of Burglary Tools, and misdemeanor Criminal Mischief and Theft By Unlawful Taking.
