MARC ribbon cutting ceremony

SIDNEY, Neb. - Sidney’s new emergency aircraft service had its ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday afternoon. Medical Air Rescue Company (MARC) has responded to about 10 calls since it was put into service February 17, making flights to Cheyenne, Denver and Rapid City.

CEO and Owner, Monty Renfro, spoke at the event held at SRMC, “My goal is to change the model of this industry, we have kind of got a bad stain over the years due to some of the bigger complex companies owned by private equity firms charging too much, we are trying to put the same product out there that is affordable.”

Sidney is MARC’s first Nebraska location and Renfro says they plan to grow further into the state in the future.

Renfro added, “I want you to be encouraged that there are people like me that see this community as a great place to be and a good opportunity for a business person to be here and there is going to be others like me that are going to see it in the short term.”
