LINCOLN, Neb. - With the regular season wrapping up this week across the state for high school basketball girls teams, the seeding has been set for the upcoming Sub-District tournaments for the majority of classes.

In Class B, the Sidney Lady Raiders (18-3, 7-0 B-8) are the top seed in their B-8 Sub-District. They’ll match up with the fourth seeded Scottsbluff Lady Bearcats (6-13, 2-5 B-8) on Monday evening, February 12, at 5:30 in the Cabela’s Athletic Facility at Sidney High School. A pair of Bulldogs will meet in the second semifinal later that night at 7:00 as the Alliance Lady Bulldogs (12-8, 3-2 B-8) are the two-seed and the Gering Lady Bulldogs (10-11, 1-8 B-8) earned the three.

Elsewhere in Sub-Districts involving other area teams, the Bridgeport Lady Bulldogs (15-6, 6-0 C2-12) will be the one-seed in the Class C2 District 12 tournament at Gering High School on Tuesday as they’ll take on the Hemingford Lady Bobcats (5-15, 0-3 C2-12) at 5:30. The Kimball Lady Longhorns (5-15, 2-1 C2-12) will be the three-seed in the tournament and will match up against the Bayard Lady Tigers (11-8, 1-5 C2-12), a team they’ve already beaten twice this season.

The Potter-Dix Lady Coyotes (16-2, 5-0 D2-12) once again will be the top dog in the Class D2 District 12 Sub-Districts as they will await the winner of the four-five matchup between the Banner County Lady Wildcats (5-11, 1-3 D2-12) and the Minatare Lady Indians (2-14, 1-5 D2-12) taking place Monday in the Sidney Middle School gymnasium. Potter-Dix will play the winner of that game Tuesday at 5:30, also in the middle school gym, with the two-three meeting between the Creek Valley Lady Storm (9-8, 3-1 D2-12) and Leyton Lady Warriors (9-10, 2-3 D2-12) to follow.

Randy Brown will bring you coverage of the B-8 Sub-District Tournament on Monday and Tuesday on 95.7 FM/1340 AM The Fort, while Dewayne Cook will be on scene for the D2-12 Sub-District Tuesday and Thursday on 98.7 Sky FM.
